Cute diner in the middle of nowhere (or what seems to be lol) Staff were friendly, food came out quickly and was fresh. The vegetarian burger didn't taste like anything but the onion rings and French fries were pretty tasty. Not the best, but far from the worst! Sad I wasn't able to try one of their tasty looking desserts! I had four hours left of a road trip home and knew a dessert would put me into a coma. The biscoff and chocolate cannoli cheesecakes looked DEVINE!!!
We needed some good breakfast and comfort after spending a night on the road w our 3yr old, and we were not disappointed. Server Amy kept our coffee full, food quick (and plentiful!), and was so accommodating to our active and curious toddler. She even made sure he went home with a special prize from their arcade games. Portions are extremely generous and we didn’t even break $30 for three full breakfasts and drinks. Should we find ourselves in the area again, we would definitely stop in for Amy and the great food from the diner’s chefs again!
I got the steak and eggs and Homefries. Absolutely some of the best Homefries I've ever had! Our waitress was outstanding.
Took a break from work and decided, "you know what, I'll try something different" So, I decided to try this diner from up the street. Silver spring diner is a casual diner with viable options, not to mention they have very fair prices, my entire meal being $12. The service is quick, reaching back to customers swiftly, although tbf, it was not a busy day when I ate there, so they had plentiful time to reach back with customers. My waitress, although new, was very polite and had good answers for any questions; this restaurant has great service. I ordered a gyro, Greek gyro, and it was delectable. The fries were piping hot and thoroughly cooked, also good texture and crunch. I didn't try the coleslaw unfortunately, reason being a BIG no no with me personally, and the reason why I rated this restaurant 4 out of 5 for my experience. The utensils were dirty, by that they had grease and miniature food partclicles on them. Now I know, aloud that sounds real pickish, but if a restaurant does not take the time to properly clean forks and spoons, whats to tell the cups and plates aren't dirty, you could get sick! Regardless, most of that was negated since I ordered a gyro, something you use your hands to eat, so I was fine Overall, I like this place and would recommend, be wary of ordering foods that require utensils, make sure they're clean, but with such a polite and understanding staff, im sure it's an issue that could easily be resolved. very good 👍
Our wait staff was very pleasant. Our meals were fine, nothing special, just fine. However; two of my pet peeves are tiny cups of coleslaw (come on, cabbage is cheap, give me more than 2 bites) and small bags of potato chips (come on, you’re a restaurant, not a gas station). I would not recommend.
Facility extremely large not like a diner at all. Quite attractive. Staff very friendly. I had the gyro and was somewhat disappointed, kind of blah tasting. My wife enjoyed her spinach/fetta omelet. Prices very reasonable with many entrees under $10.00. Menu photos as of June 2025.
I highly encourage a visit to this diner. They have a menu diverse enough to suit almost any pallet and as many times as I have visited, each item I've tried was tasty. The cost is a bit more but not outrageous and well worth it. This is the perfect place for a larger group or family because they can accommodate and satisfy each individual. This visit we had mozzarella sticks, the french dip pannini and cheese steak.
It was.. meh. Prices were good value. Decent omelet. Gross chicken parm, poor quality chicken and bland sauce. If you come for burgers and omelettes, you’ll be happy. Anything else, hit or miss. Scallops were nice but very oily. I don’t understand why they served what looked and tasted like the oil they fried the scallops in, on the side 🤔 . I did not like the boiled/ canned vegetables. The salad was nice and fresh. The waitress was nice.
